Redesigning the game’s most dominant global element is one of the major steps we’re taking in evolving Mafia Wars to the next level. Our goal was to deliver the most relevant functionality in the clearest way possible for our users (new and experienced).
Our focus is on game play (what really matters when playing), viral interactions, and enabling future features/functionality. This is really the foundation for many more things that are coming for the header itself, the homepage, and the game in general.

Keep a Zero Cash Balance
Before going into fights, always be sure to deposit all of your cash into the bank. Other players can attack you at any time, so it is a good idea to keep a zero cash balance most of the time and especially before signing off. If you don’t, other players will fight and rob you. Depositing money does incur a 10% laundering fee but is very little in the scheme of things.

Fight Often
First, look at the size of the player’s mafia. Attack players with nearly the same size or smaller mafia because more members means more weapons/armor will be used against you.
Quickly browse through the player’s weapons arsenal. If you see that they
have much stronger weapons than you or a large quantity of stronger weapons, it is best
not to attack them.
Create an attack list of those members that you have attacked and beaten. This way you
can go back and attack them again in the future, knowing that they are probably beatable
again to you.

MafiaWars: Chapter 1 of London is unleashed! Play NOW and work on completing the second Challenge Mission in Mafia Wars.

Job Heat Meter

You’ll need to be careful doing jobs during this Challenge Mission, as the MI-5 are on your trail. Each time you do a London job, you’ll increase the heat meter. The higher the heat meter, the tougher the job is to complete. If you lay low for a few hours, the job meter will cool down, and you can more safely complete the mission. The heat meter resets every 8 hours, so if you take your time and plan well, you’ll make sure you won’t get caught!

Prizes

Each Chapter that you complete of London will earn you an exclusive unique item. You’ll need to master Chapter 1 before you can move on to Chapter 2, and so forth. Each item gets progressively more powerful, so you’ll have to work hard to ensure that you get them all!

Chapter 1: Blockade Auto Shotgun, ATK 58 DEF 45
Chapter 2: FSB Agent, ATK 42 DEF 76
Chapter 3: Nightowl Helicopter, ATK 107 DEF 55

Challenge Crew

As each chapter unlocks, you’ll unlock two additional slots for your London Crew (up to 7 total slots). If you have space available in your crew, any new person (not hired guns) joining your mafia will also be added to your London Crew. You will be given a one-time bonus of British Passports for each crew member that joins an unlocked slot.

Pirates: Bangkok Business "Piracy Operation". In order to unlock this business you need to master Episode 3 (Pirate) first job "Secure A Pirate Vessel".
Drug Shipments: Bangkok Business "Drug Smuggling Ring ". In order to unlock this business you need to master Episode 4 (Commandant) first job "Buy Some Chemicals On The Black Market".
Satellite Phones: Episode 3 (Pirate) Chapter 2 choice point job "Hijack A Boat Load Of Electronics". Note that Satellite Phones are not same than Untraceable Cell Phones.
